Hello and welcome back to the Wedding Atelier podcast. I have not done a solo episode in. I wanna say two months or a month. It feels like such a long time, but personally, I have been doing podcast interviews with some of my friends in the industry and it has just been so nice connecting with people, spending time with my kids. They're actually downstairs eating cereal right now, and I don't know, it's really exciting to be able to take a summer off, but still give you guys lots of education and free goodies along the way. So in today's episode, I wanna talk about how you can go from burnout to booked out by booking less than 20 weddings a year. Now I'm gonna walk you through two different frameworks because in phase one wedding atelier, we help you make a hundred K with less than 20 weddings a year, which is ultimately the goal, 20 or less. Some people love booking more than 20 weddings, and if you want to, that's totally fine too. If you wanna make over six figures, this is just for the exact six figure math, right? And so I've had students. I haven't really been present so much on my podcast and in my marketing'cause I have been helping my students make so much money. They have been raising their prices, they have been booking their highest package. They have doubled, some of them have tripled their prices. Some of'em are leaving their jobs or actually already left their jobs because of the demand of their photography business. And just seeing the way that we're having fun with marketing again. I recently taught a what's working right now on Instagram for Wedding Photographers masterclass. I'm actually gonna do that every single year inside of Wedding Atelier because. The industry changes and it grows, and I think we're gonna be adding a little bit more of a trend prediction section because I love scouring the internet for what's trending, what people are doing, but in a way of trendy that's fun, not trendy, to where you feel like you are giving up your unique edge, your own creativity. I want you to be inspired by like this kind of style or this kind of way you can communicate your value, communicate your process. Communicate your personality. Those are all the different ways that you can just have fun with marketing, and I feel like that's what we're missing is nobody's having fun with marketing. So I wanna make it fun again. I remember when I got Instagram back in 2009 and the filters were absolutely horrible and you could barely see the person in the photo, but it was fun and we would post. Three to five, maybe even 10 times a day, and you would get hundreds of likes for just holding up a peace sign with a terrible filter. Nowadays we use Instagram to make money to get seen, to promote our visibility, and so what I'm realizing is that. While, yes, it is a free platform. The algorithm does change, and yes, it is exhausting having to change all the time and try to push yourself to be more visible. But if you disconnect from the mindset of Ugh, I have to do this, and think to yourself, oh, I get to do this and I get to do it for free. Unless you're paying for the meta verified badge, then you're paying 1599 a month unless they raise the price. But I digress. I think that we need to look at it differently and think of it as. The ability to play. Let's play around. Let's post something, not get emotionally attached to it and see where it goes. And then you can now look at your insights per post on Instagram. Personally at first I was overwhelmed, like, why do I wanna see like how little of my audience, my posts are reaching? But if you think about it in a different way, you can say, okay, now I have the data and the analytics to see what's not resonating with my audience, what's not resonating with my couples, what's not resonating with what have you. Okay. And so that has been the first thing of okay. The positioning of your marketing, the positioning of your brand, and what you're saying, how you're saying it, and how you're attracting them can be fun. It can be fun, okay. But first we're gonna go back to the top and talk about how we're gonna actually make a plan to have this six figure math. So essentially, if you're charging at least 5K without them booking your highest package, without them adding on anything. Let's say your flat rate, your middle package is 5K, then you know for sure if you book 20 weddings, that is six figures. That is the easy six figure math. Now, if you're like, okay, I want to book way less than 20, maybe I wanna book more of like 10 to 15 weddings a year. And personally, as a mom of two 12 weddings was the absolute sweet spot for me. It felt like living a dream when you go from booking 36 weddings a year to 12 weddings a year. I was like, whoa. The calendar is very spacious. And we love this. We love this for me, and so I want that for you, but I want to show you a way to raise your prices that's gonna keep you from having a panic attack because. It is absolutely mind wrenching thinking about raising your prices and thinking about raising them significantly. So the first thing that you do when you join Wedding Atelier is that if you join within 48 hours of the masterclass that I have coming up September 23rd, you will get a one-on-one intensive with me. I am so good at reading between the lines, marketing and sales strategy, and just looking at the numbers and when I ask you a couple of questions and you answer them for me as truthfully as possible. We can come up with your brand new pricing, especially if you feel comfortable charging it. There's some people who are like, okay, that's good. I'm gonna charge that once I book X amount of weddings. And that's fine. We want you to regulate your nervous system, and I want you to have a panic attack every time you hop on a call and you're like, I charge seven K. Like, No, that's not the goal, okay?'cause nobody's even gonna believe you. I'm not gonna believe you. So that is the first thing you're gonna do is walk away with your new pricing and then after that. You have all of the tools. You have our marketing studio, you have our brand studio, you have our sales studio, and you can mix and match any of the techniques that you want to build the business your way. The one thing I realized is that when I made this program, when it was called wedding, CEO, is that wedding, CEO was literally based on all Laura, how all Laura does it all's journey. This is what all Laura did, this is what you need to do. And I just don't believe that anymore because especially with the rising of neurodiversity and all of the things and all the ways that people can build a business their own way in different ways. Showing up, selling. I just wanna give you the tools to where you can piece together your own business. If you wanna follow what I've done, you can, but you also have the strategies that you can play with yourself and then we'll reflect on your data and help you increase more inquiries and of course more booking. So that is the program in a nutshell. It'll be your pricing your marketing and your sales now I feel like pricing is only one of many steps that's gonna help you get to your result. But I feel like after our intensive, if you know what to charge and then we make a marketing plan of how you specifically are gonna get there in a way that serves you using our four part marketing strategy. Your business is going to blow up. I actually just got off circle five minutes ago, and one of my students because she's like, I just wanna vent and say that I'm getting way too many inquiries and they're all for the same date. That is all. And I'm like, I'm sorry that you're famous. I'm so sorry that this is a problem. But I also remember the frustration of being like, oh my gosh, do I need to have an associate team because I'm getting so many inquiries for the same day? But that's the kind of problem I want for you. I want you to be like, I am getting so many inquiries that I can turn away couples or I can refer them to friends, or I can start an associate team. You wanna have that abundance in your life and business, and so I'm really excited about this masterclass. It's completely changed like never before. I'm gonna be walking you through. So many times, even luxury photographers, I had luxury photographers in this program and their messaging was so off. I was like, is this the kind of couple you wanna serve? and they would say to themselves, oh. No, I just hired a copywriter. While I have done this, I think it's really important for you to know how all parts of your business operate. What's being said, what's not being said, how it's being said. As a CEO, you need to be the strategist behind the business. So that's gonna be the next step. And then you're gonna mark it like crazy because you have to essentially bring inquiries to your website. But if your website's ms, we're gonna be cringing together, but we're gonna get through it. Okay? So the framework of this is all about positioning the three Ps. So pricing, positioning, marketing, positioning, price positioning, brand positioning, and marketing positioning. and one thing about me is I am a self-taught positioning queen. I don't know how I learned it to this day. I don't understand how but I knew how to position my business in a way that attracted luxury clients in a year because who triples their prices after having a baby? That's the kind of clarity you get when you have multiple kids. First kid, I was like, oh, okay, yeah, I can make this work. And then second kid, I was like, yeah, no. Business boundaries, baby. We gotta triple these prices. It's been way too long. I'm talking to you. if it's been three or more years since you've raised your prices and you're like, oh my gosh, Lord's talking to me, I am. Get on this masterclass. Okay? This is for you because why are you charging the same prices? As the economy has shifted, the prices of everything has gone up. Everything. The gas prices just went low this week, but guess what? They're probably gonna go high again next week. That's just how the world works, and I don't want you to put yourself out of business because you are keeping your business stagnant because you're so scared of turning weddings away. But if you're getting inquiries all the time, Who cares? Do you need a hundred inquiries? Do you need 50 inquiries? No, you don't. And with our sales system, you're gonna be able to convert 50%, if not 80% of your inquiries anyway, okay? That's the kind of life that I want for you. I want you to be like, oh my gosh, I'm getting so many inquiries, and then me replying with a famous gif. Okay? That's my goal. I don't want you burned out. I want you booked out on your own terms so you can free up your weekends, get your life back, have a social life, have all the kids go on vacations, whatever your life goal is. I want to help you build this life first business that you picked up your camera years ago and said. I wanna charge for my first wedding. I wanna charge for my first session. Okay? I wanted to do that since I took a picture of a tree and a water droplet, and I thought I was a stock photographer. I want you to have that same confidence and delusion that you did when you first started this business and charged crazy prices because you thought you could.
